A Play reading is a form of theatre without sets or costumes where the play is read though in a relaxed casual setting. The purpose is foremost for love of the theatre and reading new material, but also to gauge the effectiveness of the dialogue, pacing and flow, and other dramatic elements of a given play and to see if their would be interest in producing the play and moving towards the audition phase.
