STS is currently preparing for their next production, The Mousetrap, directed by Andrew Lane, to be performed May 16-18, 2014 at the community hall on Pender Island.
The Mousetrap is a well-known Agatha Christie play that has been running in the West End in London for more than 60 years. It’s a classic “who done it?” with a cast of characters who each seem to have something to hide, even if that might mean their own murder!
Auditions were held in early January with several local thespians and budding actors trying out for one of the eight roles in the play.Characters are to be played by Ethan and Tania Honan-Smith, Al Powelson, Gerry Moore, Helen Lemon-Moore, Heath Lansdowne, Dave Hargreaves and Tracey Gillespie.
Supporting the actors will be a team of experienced and committed back stage personnel, all of whom will bring this famous play to life…and death.
Performances will be at the hall on Pender Island and the curtain will go up at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th with a matinee performance at 2pm on Sunday, May 18th.
Tickets will be available at Talisman Books and Southridge Farm on Pender Island.
